The most famous Indian Super League specially established for the city based football league in India in 2014 under the license of All India Football Federation. Now they are inviting new investors or parties to come forward and make their team in the upcoming eighth season of ISL this year.
The bidding or tenders will start from 12th May to 24th May 2017 for the fourth edition, which is going to staged in the year 2017-2018. FSDL (Football Sports Development Limited) is going to spread out the tenders through the ‘Invitation to bid’ (ITB) process to get the new parties to come in front and bid for the players to make their own team. If we talk about those ten cities which team owners are going to represent after bids are as follow Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Cuttack, Durgapur, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Ranchi, Siliguri, and Thiruvananthapuram.
The Rule Stated by the Officials for the ISL 2017-2018
Under and subject to the ITB, one (01) to three (03) new winning bidders shall be enrolled and awarded the right to participate in the Indian Super League. It being clarified that in the case of the city of Kolkata being awarded to the winning bidder, the respective team shall hold its home games outside Kolkata for the next two consecutive Indian Super League Seasons (2017/2018 and 2018/2019).
There are already eight teams are playing in the Indian Super League which are below:

- Delhi Dynamos FC
- FC Goa
- FC Pune City
- Kerala Blasters FC
- NorthEast United FC
- Mumbai City FC
