Bad news coming out of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohammad Nawaz, a Pakistani spinner got suspended for two months and charged with the penalty of total 2000 Dollars for not contacting the board on getting a proposal from a bookmaker. Cricket board already banned a Fast bowler recently, Mohammad Irfan, for six months and 10,000 dollars for the similar case of Spot Fixing in PSL, just like Nawaz.
PCB told the reporters that suspension period for Mohammad Nawaz is two months and the first-month suspension already started from 16 May and second-month suspension he has to face after fulfilling the additional conditions. According to the Pakistan Cricket board, Nawaz violated the Article 2.4.4 in Anti-Corruption code, and the all-rounder has accepted every single allegation he facing right now. He agreed to the fact that he failed to disclose the details of bookie reaching to him on fixing a match and in return giving him money.
In the whole suspension period, Nawaz’s central contract with the PCB is going to get suspended, and he can’t play any matches with the team or any cricket at all. Nawaz, 23, was the squad member of the T20 Squad who played Twenty20 matches against the West Indies in March, but he never gets to play a single ball in the field and had to return home without playing a game.
PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) also looking into the players like Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Nasir Jamshed and Shahzaib Hasan, if they did anything illegal and tried to corrupt any game in or did any Spot fixing in Pakistan Super League (PSL).
If we talk about the Champions Trophy 2017 and Nawaz in the Pakistan team, He apparently didn’t qualify for the 15-men Squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, which will go to kick off from 1st June.
